The house has belonged to the same family for centuries.
It is said that a priest, Michelangelo Magnoni, moved into the
village in the 16th Century and a man of law sent in the region as auditor, Lucio, lived here in the 17th Century. Pasquale, whom with his studies has contributed to research the origin of Paestum, lived in the house in 18th Century and in the 19th century Michele Magnoni was one of the Mille (One Thousand) of Giuseppe Garibaldi and took part with his father and brothers to the Risorgimento struggles for Unity of Italy. Probabily Giuseppe Garibaldi himself spent a night in the house in 1860. px BB

Salvatore Magnoni is also the owner of Primalaterra's Farm (www.primalaterra.it). He produces extra-virgin olive-oil and a red wine called Aglianico which is a typical vine of the area.
